Summer Reading

The Huntsville-Madison County Public Library (HMCPL) is excited to announce its 2024 Summer Reading Program, "Adventure Begins at Your Library," which will be held at all ten Library locations from May 28 to July 20. This year's theme, " Adventure Beings at Your Library," celebrates adventure, travel, and trying new things. So, join us for a summer reading adventure!

Check our quick reference guide for weekly storytime programs, but make sure to visit our events calendar for the latest information, including special Saturday programs at some of our locations.

Don't miss our Summer Reading Kickoff events, where every child and teen who attends will receive an Activity Tracker and other fun items!

How does the Summer Reading Program work?

Starting May 28, you can pick up an Activity Tracker at any of our locations or print one below. Complete as many of the activities as you can and when you're finished, return your tracker to any Library branch by Saturday, July 20 to be entered into the final drawing to win cool prizes! Some branches may also have small incentive prizes to give out all summer long. When turning in the Activity Tracker, please make sure that your contact information is complete and legible. If you have any questions about Summer Reading, please contact your local branch.

Get your Activity Tracker - download June and July editions and print them or pick one up at your local branch!
